Bespoke AI Photo Editing
Frank is a master at restoring old images and bringing them back to life. There’s a common misconception that one just uploads an image online and like magic, the entire image is suddenly restored. But nothing could be further from the truth. The fact is, the image below had to go through multiple scans and prompts within AI and then blended back together manually in Photoshop.
First, the image was restored focussing just on the train, to get the colour of the train as close as possible to what the original colours may have looked like in 1901. Then the men had to be cropped and scanned as a separate group, so AI could emulate the faces as closely as possible to the original faces. This process took over an hour to get it correct and in the end, “good faces” were blended into “good bodies” to get the results below.
AI is far from perfect and requires the user to type-in specific wording and commands to prevent AI from replacing the men’s face with someone completely different.
This one image took approximately three (3) hours to complete at an estimated cost of £350.
